I thought tonight’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy was one of the best so far this season. A lot of storylines were pushed forward, and it seems like we’re in for some great drama in the coming weeks.
One of the showdowns that I’m anxious to watch out for is the impending one between Christina and Dr. Bailey. Bailey figured out that it was Christina who erased her name from Burke’s surgical board, and Baily is not going to stand for that from an intern. When she confronts Christina about it, however, Christina decides to protect Burke and say “no comment” rather than make things easier for her (and her career). Bailey retaliates by not allowing Christina in on any more surgeries. I wonder how long that’s gonna last, because you know Christina’s going to tell Burke just as soon as he gets back!
Speaking of Burke, he went on a camping trip with Shepard, the Chief, George, Alex, and Joe and Walter (from the bar). Originally, it was just supposed to be Shepard and Burke, so when Derek found out that Burke invited all those other guys, he was plenty upset.
Anyway, several things happened on the trip: George noticed that Burke’s hand was trembling when he tried to thread a fishing line; Alex told George that Callie slept with McSteamy, which prompted the two to get into a fistfight; and Derek decided to go after Meredith once and for all (instead of taking time to be alone, which was his plan).
Then when they got back from the trip, we see that Meredith and McSteamy were drinking together (and flirting), that Addison and Callie have bonded, and that George’s dad has been admitted to Seattle Grace.
