I recently bought an Olympus Digital Voice Recorder (model VN-240PC) because I do a lot of interviewing for my various writing gigs. So far, I have to say that this gadget has been performing very well, especially for the price I paid (less than $100). Here are the pros and cons, as far as I can tell after a couple months of usage:
Pros:
- Easy-to-operate buttons
- No external microphone needed
- Decent sound quality
- Seamless uploads to my PC
- “Hold” button
- Pen clip for pocket
Cons:
- A little on the bulky side compared to other products
- File transfers go a bit slowly
That’s all! As you can see, there are only a couple things that I’ve had a problem with. All in all though, I would definitely recommend this product for everyday recording needs.
