Alpinestars Tech 10 Boots

My husband has been riding motocross for more than 10 years now, and over that period of time he’s developed loyalty to certain brands. One product that he really loves is Alpinestars boots. He’s never worn any other brand because Alpinestars fit so well and last so long. Right now he wants to buy the latest Tech 10 series but has been holding out for a good price. If you know of a site that has them for cheap, let me in on it!

P.S. Here’s a picture of his trashed Tech 8s.

How I Met Your Mother

I started watching How I Met Your Mother a couple months ago, and I have to say that I really like this show! I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to get on board with it. I think the writing is fantastic, and every single character on there is likable. That usually doesn’t happen when dealing with ensemble casts like that.

Although it’s hard to pick a favorite character, I’m going to go with Lily. Alyson Hannigan does a terrific job in that role and almost makes me forget about the whole “band camp” thing from American Pie!

If you’re not watching this show yet, you’re really missing out. Trust me on this one. I’m not easy to please when it comes to sitcoms, but I think How I Met Your Mother is definitely worth your time!

Blood Pressure Problems?

This could be a good product for my uncle, who’s been having a whole host of health problems recently — including high blood pressure. The thing is, he also has pretty bad allergies to common medications and often suffers side effects from the drugs that his doctors prescribe, so he might be interested in this Pressurelow natural blood pressure remedy . It’s all natural, which is a good start. I’m going to pass this link on to him so he can look over the ingredient list and see if there’s anything in there that he’s allergic to.

Learn Latin by Peter Jones

I studied Latin in high school, but have pretty much forgotten everything by now. I want to pick up the language again because I’m thinking of homeschooling my son and want him to learn it to. I first heard of this book Learn Latin on the Daily Telegraph (U.K.) website or something, and purchased it because of the great reviews it received.

The book has 20 chapters that gradually introduce grammar, vocab, and translations so that by the time you reach the end, you should be able to read intermediate-level passages of original Latin text. This sounds like a loft goal, but I was actually able to succeed with this book! Of course, I’m sure a lot of that had to do with my previous Latin training, so I’m not sure how a brand new student would fare.

I thought the lessons were relevant and well-paced, and I appreciated the fact that the author gives you the answers and some explanations for the answers, too. This is an excellent starter book for someone who wishes to learn Latin on their own. Check it out!

New Bedroom Set for Son

I need to buy a new bedroom set for my son’s room. He’s still using baby furniture even though he’s nearly four years old. I’ve been able to get away with using a convertible crib/bed for this long because my son is on the small side, but that’s obviously not going to last much longer. He is going through a major climbing phase right now where he loves trying to get as high up on furniture as he can go, so I’m thinking a bunk bed would be perfect for him. Maybe I’ll buy one after we pay off all our Christmas credit card bills.
