Calvin’s Fine Jewelry

My anniversary is coming up in a couple of weeks and I’m currently shopping around for a nice piece of jewelry to commemorate the event. Once I find it, I’ll start dropping hints to my husband about what he can buy for me!

I came across some beautiful Michael B pendants and earrings on a site called CalvinsJewelry.com. I have heard of Michael B before because he’s one of the hottest jewelry designers around right now and has many celebrity clients.

Anyway, CalvinsJewelry.com has some truly striking pieces. I saw a pair of ruby and diamond earrings that I really like, but they’re a bit out of my price range. I’m going to keep looking though; hopefully I’ll find something before my anniversary rolls around!

Review of Dreamhost

When I decided to register my own domains and go with paid hosting for my blogs rather than Blogger/Blogspot, I did a lot of research into the various hosting services out there. In addition, I got a lot of feedback and reccomendations from other PPP bloggers who have had their own domains for a long time. There was a lot to choose from, but I eventually decided to go with Dreamhost.

There are three main reasons that I chose Dreamhost. First, someone posted a discount code that reduced my first-year costs from $119 all the way down to $22! This included one free domain registration, plus a sizeable bandwidth allowance (I don’t have the exact figure here, but it’s more than enough for my needs).

The second reason I chose Dreamhost is that I can host an unlimited number of domains on the same account. I started with one, and I’m up to three right now. I don’t know if other services do the same thing or not, but this is a pretty convenient feature.

Third, I like Dreamhost because they have an excellent service record. There’s rarely any downtime from what I’ve read, and I haven’t experienced any of this personally. I can always access my sites when I want, and publish my blog posts quickly.

Overall, Dreamhost is a fantastic company to use if you’re thinking about switching from free blog hosting to your own domain. I recommend trying them out, even if it’s just for a year or so.

Commercial Property in Orlando

I’ve always thought that Orlando would be a great place to set up a business. There’s a constant stream of new money pumping into the economy thanks to tourism, and that opens up a lot of opportunities for related ventures. It seems like a prime spot for entrepreneurs to set up shop and make a killing.

Of course, to get the ball rolling down there, you’d need office space and perhaps even storage space. The best way to handle that would be to hook up with a firm that specializes in Orlando commercial real estate. York Property Company, which has been around for more than two decades, is one such firm.

York Property Company focuses exclusively on corporate real estate services and doesn’t get sidetracked by trying to sell homes, condos, apartments, or timeshares. They deal only with the purchase, lease, or development of commercial office space and warehouse facilities, so you can be sure of getting focused, expert attention.

If you’re looking for commercial real estate in Orlando or Central Florida, check out York Property Company.

The Official Agatha Christie Website

I’ve been reading Agatha Christie books since the summer, and I’ve enjoyed them immensely (for the most part). I was looking around for more information about her today when I discovered the Official Agatha Christie Website. I spent about an hour looking through the pages, and I really liked what I saw.

First of all, there is a great “recommendation” feature that puts up a random capsule of one of Christie’s books. This is a fun way to browse through her works and find one that sounds interesting to you if you’re not trying to read everything in chronological order.

Second, there is a nice little biography and a pretty good FAQ section on the site. I learned a lot of things that I never knew about Christie and her books (for example, that And Then There Were None was the biggest-selling book of her career). I like websites that give me solid information, so I was pleased with these sections.

Third, there’s a message board that seems to be fairly active. I don’t know how many users there are, but I took a look through some of the threads and a lot of them have seen activity in the last few days or so. If you wanted to hook up with other Christie fans, that might be a good place to start.

And of course you can purchase any of her books right from the site, which is convenient. They have audiobooks too, which I’m especially interested in.

Overall, the Official Agatha Christie Website is definitely a place that fans should visit. Check it out if you’ve never been there before!

Search Local Classifieds Online

I love reading through classified ads even if I’m not looking for anything in particular. That’s because I can usually come away with something interesting in exchange for the time spent skimming the posts: a good deal on event tickets; a job opening that would be perfect for someone I know; or an unbeatable bargain on new or used merchandise.

I just learned of a new site that makes classifieds shopping easier than ever. It’s called Oodle and is basically a search engine that allows users to browse through local ads in a number of popular categories such as personals, tickets, apartments, jobs, and a whole lot more.

I gave it a test run, and it’s very easy to use. I’ll definitely be going back and recommend that you check it out too!
