Desperate Housewives 3×14

Desperate Housewives After taking a couple weeks off, Desperate Housewives returned last night with an episode called “I Remember That.” Here’s a quick rundown of what happened on the show.

Susan/Ian: It was Jane’s funeral service, and a reluctant Susan attended only because Ian needed her support. However, she didn’t want people to know that she was “the other woman,” so she stayed away from Ian for the most part and just sat by herself. (Of course, if she didn’t want to get noticed, she shouldn’t have worn that stupid hat and those huge sunglasses.)

Anyway, Susan overhears a woman making an overt play for Ian right there at the funeral. She can’t keep quiet, and eventually lets it slip that she and Ian are dating. Then the woman who wanted Ian goes up to the lectern and tells everyone that Susan and Ian were together while Jane was still alive.

Susan is mortified by this, and slinks away to go hide in the embalming room. Ian finds her there and proposes, but Susan doesn’t think the time or place is right for that sort of thing. They agree to do the proposal another time.

Bree/Orson:Bree demands that Orson go to the police and report that Alma raped him, but he refuses. When Bree doesn’t back down, Orson is forced to tell her everything. Unfortunately, his confession happened behind closed doors, so we didn’t get to hear exactly what he said. We get the feeling, though, that he stopped somewhere short of the truth.

Later in the episode, Bree notices what appears to be that little bag of Monique’s teeth hanging from a ladder. She climbs up on the ladder to retrieve the bag, only to hit a rung that had been rigged to give way. Bree tumbles to the ground and is taken to the hospital where the nurse reports that she’s suffered from a concussion.

Mike: Mike has been seeing a hypnotherapist to help him remember what happened on the night of Monique’s murder. He figures out that he saw Orson at Monique’s house and that Orson was busy cleaning the kitchen. Mike puts two and two together, then goes to confront Orson at the hospital. They get into a fight in the parking garage, and the very last scene shows Orson go tumbling over the side of the garage, which looks to be about four stories tall. Then we get the dreaded “To be continued” title card.

Lynette/Tom: They’re getting ready for the grand opening at the restaurant, and have a bit of a problem with Austin. Edie asked Tom to give Austin a job, which he does, but then Lynette catches Austin getting high behind the shop and fires him. She comes back later only to see that Tom has rehired Austin, so they get into an argument. Tom explains why it’s better to have Austin on board (he’s “hot” and will bring in the high school girls). Then Tom demands that Lynette let him have complete control at the restaurant. It’s fine that she controls everything at home, but at the restaurant is has to be different. Lynette agrees.

Gaby/Zach: More nonsense from the worst storyline going. This should have been over two episodes ago. It was Gaby’s birthday, and she refused to let Zach take her out or buy her anything expensive. Instead, she made a date with some other guy, who just happened to work for Zach. Of course, Zach sends a message to him during the date and threatens to fire him if he doesn’t leave Gaby alone. Yawn.

My Reaction: Orson better not be dead! He’s one of the few interesting characters on the show, so if he bites it, I don’t know where that will leave viewers.

I wasn’t very interested in anything that happened tonight. I can’t stand Mike or Zach, and wish both of their characters would just go away. Immediately. Susan/Ian and Lynette/Tom were pretty boring this week, but maybe next week will be better.

Private Air Evac Medical Flights

If you think that serious accidents that occur on public roads are the only times a person would require the services of an air evac medical flight, think again. In reality, there are numerous instances where it would be beneficial for people to use a medically equipped helicopter or airplane. For example, if a chronically ill patient wants to relocate to be closer to friends and family or to take a vacation, a medical flight might be the only way they could do so. Similarly, if a person becomes seriously ill while traveling overseas, a chartered medical flight could be their only means of returning home safely.

Of course in those types of situations, the patients in question wouldn’t be able to rely on municipally-owned air transport vehicles to take care of their needs. Instead, their only choice would be to charter a private medivac flight of their own, which is why it’s important to know about companies that provide these services.

One such company that I recently heard about is AeroCare. From what I’ve read, AeroCare sounds like a terrific option for patients requiring medical flights. For one thing, AeroCare’s services extend globally. They can fly to or from nearly any destination in the entire world, so you’re not likely to feel limitations in that respect. For another thing, AeroCare’s rates are very reasonable, so you can take advantage of their services even if you have to pay out of pocket. And of course AeroCare has a staff of highly qualified medical professionals to monitor patients on every step of their journey.

Having access to private air evac medical flights can really make a difference. If you’re interested in finding out more about AeroCare’s air ambulance services, be sure to visit their homepage.
