I like to think that I’m in a pretty good financial position, comparatively speaking. I don’t have any debts (except for my homes) and I strictly adhere to the rule of having at least six months’ salary saved up in case of emergencies.
But one financial area that I’m completely lacking in is investments. I don’t have any kind of portfolio to speak of, which bothers me because I know that I can be earning more than the 5.02% return that I currently get on my money.
I’d heard a lot about forex (foreign exchange) trading as a potential way to earn money, so I wanted to do more research on the subject. I went to the website of a company called Global Futures to have a look around. Global Futures offers investors an easy way to get into forex and futures trading online. I really like the fact that I can open an account for as little as $250, as this is quite low compared to what similar brokerage firms want and is an amount that I’d be comfortable starting out with. By opening an account, I’d also have access to customer support every step of the way. That’s definitely something I need since I don’t know my way around forex or futures at all.
Anyway, I need to get on the ball and start investing sometime soon. Forex might just be the perfect vehicle for me, but I’m going to keep reading and researching to find out everything I can about the subject before investing!
*There is risk of loss trading Futures, options and forex.
This time of year always puts me in the mood to watch The Sound of Music, which is one of my favorite movies of all time. I know a lot of people can’t stand musicals (particularly this one), so I don’t mind if you skip this review altogether. I figured that since I recently indulged in watching a few of my favorite scenes, I might as well do a quick write-up here.
I’m a couple days late posting this week’s 24 recap. Sorry about that, but I’ve been busier this last week than I have since taking a full load of college classes while working full-time way back when. At any rate, here’s what happened on 6×16, which aired April 2.
