Grey's Anatomy Group Shot Last night’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy was called “Testing 1-2-3″ and covered several different issues that have been going on for the past couple of weeks. I thought the show was all over the map and none of the storylines held my attention at all. Here’s a closer look at what happened in episode 3×24.

Meredith/Derek: Thatcher stumbles into the hospital and screams at Meredith for “killing” his wife. He tells her to stay away from the funeral, and out of his life. This puts Meredith in a funk for her big exam, and she ends up sitting there for the two hours without writing down a single answer.

Meanwhile, she and Derek continue to drift apart. Meredith doesn’t bother telling him any of what happened to her during the day; he had to hear about it later from George. Then, at Burke’s bachelor party, some other woman hits on Derek. He turns her down initially, but the previews for next week indicate that we haven’t seen the last of her.

Cristina/Burke: Burke bothers Cristina with more details about the wedding despite the fact that she’s trying to concentrate for the test. She hasn’t written her vows yet, his best man cancelled, he asks Derek to fill in, they have the bachelor party at Joe’s bar, blah, blah, blah.

George/Izzie/Callie: George gets accepted to the Mercy West program, but Callie is the only one happy about it. Everyone else tells him he’s making a big mistake career-wise by wanting to change. He and Izzie have a couple more angst-filled conversations, with her finally telling him he should stay at SG because he’s got nothing to worry about from her.

Callie tells Addison that she’d like to have a baby soon, which would definitely complicate the whole situation. Later on, Izzie has a major outburst about expressing feelings of true love to someone you can’t have. Meredith tries to play it off like Izzie’s talking about Denny, but Callie knows it was really about George.

Alex/Jane Doe: It turns out that Jane Doe regained her memory a few days ago, but decided not to tell anyone, including Alex. He figures it out from some comments that she makes about the baby, so she finally confesses that yes, she does remember now. But for some reason, she doesn’t want to tell Alex her real name. So they argue or whatever, then she finally tells him that her name is Rebecca Pope.

Minor characters: Joe and his boyfriend want to adopt a baby, so they bring in the potential mother for Addison to exam. Adele shows up after being in a car accident and reveals that she too is pregnant. She later collapses in the bathroom, where Richard finds her and starts screaming for help.

My Reaction: Holy hell, will the Jane Doe storyline just GO AWAY already??? That hasn’t been interesting/intriguing/compelling EVER, and is just growing more and more ridiculous with each passing week. Seriously, who even cares?!!

The entire episode was really flat and boring to me. Usually there’s at least one storyline that I look forward to or a couple of characters that I can’t wait to see, but not anymore. The best scene of the night was when Addison showed up at the bachelor party and said she wasn’t going to strip, only to get smart-ass comments from Derek and Mark about already seeing everything — and Burke saying that he hadn’t. When a 30-second exchange is the highlight of a 43-minute program, you know the ship is sinking.

I swear, if the finale next week isn’t mindblowing, I’m liable to give up on GA altogether!
