I’ve been thinking about getting blinds for my house for a few months now. There are a couple of good reasons that I want to do this. First of all, because of the long hours I keep, it’s often necessary for me to nap during the day in order to get enough sleep to function properly. I need by bedroom to be nice and dark during this time, and while my curtains are pretty good at blocking out most of the sunlight, I’m sure having blinds as well would be an improvement. Second, I’ve heard that blinds can help make a home more energy efficient, which in turn would save money. I’m all for that!
I’m not sure what kind of blinds I would get if I decided to actually make a purchase. I probably wouldn’t go with aluminum ones because I hate the way the corners tend to bend on them after a while. I’d likely go with faux wood blinds because they look good, are durable, and are priced within my budget. Hopefully we’ll be able to fit blinds in along with all our other home improvement projects this summer!
