Have I mentioned that I’m currently making my way through the first season of Ugly Betty? A friend of mine still has all the episodes on her DVR, so we literally traded machines — I gave her mine to use while I borrow hers to view all the Ugly Betty episodes on there. It sounds like a hassle, but trust me, it’s a lot easier than trying to burn 23 DVDs!
I just finished watching episode 1×06. That’s the one where Wilhelmena offers Betty a $20,000 cash advance so she can hire an immigration attorney for her father, but Betty knows that the money comes with lots of strings attached, so she eventually turns it down.
While I like what I’ve seen thus far, I’m not totally addicted to Ugly Betty yet. Maybe that will come with time, but for now, I’m still at the point where I can take it or leave it. I know there are lots of Betty devotees out there and I have a feeling they know what they’re talking about. I hope I can see the light soon!
