As my mom approaches retirement age, she’s spending more and more time looking for the perfect place to relocate to once she reaches her milestone. She’s lived in the Chicago area her whole life, but doesn’t plan on sticking around once she retires. She wants to go somewhere with better weather and a variety of activities so she can enjoy her golden years more fully.
I want to make sure my mom gets settled into a nice place no matter where she decides to live, so I’ve decided to help her with her search. We’ve been talking about her options, and we both agree that living in a retirement community would be the best way to go. I’ve found a great website to help us with our search for retirement communities. It’s called 55CommunityGuide.com and provides a free, comprehensive listing of 55+ communities across the country. There are several ways to search for the perfect community, so it’s very easy to find exactly what I’m looking for. For example, I can search based on home type (New Homes, Manufactured Homes, Condos, Golf Homes, etc.), cost, assisted living facilities, location, and much more.
