I was just looking through my archives when I noticed that my very first post here at ReviewsandMore.net was on September 15, 2006 — exactly one year ago today! I can’t believe that I’ve been maintaining this site for a year already… the time certainly has flown by.

I think I’ve come a long way in the past year. My reviews are more detailed and polished than they were in the beginning, my readership has grown, and I’m having a lot more fun with this blog than I ever expected. I’m very excited to see what the next year has in store for this site!

One of my good friends has an 11-year-old daughter who can’t get enough of the Hannah Montana series on the Disney Channel. This is a show with a fairly interesting premise: the main character is 14-year-old Miley Stewart (played by Miley Cyrus) who has a major secret. By day, she’s a regular kid who goes to school, deals with teenage problems, etc. But by night, she’s a pop singing sensation known as Hannah Montana.

Obviously the target demographic for this kind of show is preteens, so I’ve never actually seen it myself. However, I’ve definitely heard of Hannah Montana and know how popular it is with the younger set. In fact, there’s even a real-life Hannah Montana tour featuring Miley Cyrus. The tour runs from October 18 until January 9 and will go through numerous venues across the country, so that would be a great chance for Hannah Montana fans to see the show’s star up close and personal.
