Ok, as I was cleaning out my DVR earlier today, I noticed that I had a few episodes of The Price is Right on it. At first, I had no idea why I would have recorded that show, but then I remembered that I wanted to check in to see how Drew Carey was doing as the new host. (Well, I guess he’s not all that new anymore, but you know what I mean.)

Anyway, I didn’t like him very much! Drew seemed so fidgety and uncomfortable most of the time that it made me uncomfortable just watching him. Plus, I kept waiting for him to say something stupid, which put me on edge even more. It wasn’t a fun experience at all.

Sure, Drew seemed genuinely happy when the contestants won their cars, boats, and raymond weil watches or whatever, but for the most part he didn’t click in the role.

I wonder how The Price is Right is doing in the ratings now compared to when Bob Barker was host?

While my son was watching TV this morning, I saw a commercial for an updated George of the Jungle series that will premiere on Cartoon Network tomorrow, Jan.18th at 7:30pm (E/P).

I used to watch the older version of this cartoon when I was a kid, and I’m pretty excited about seeing what this 2008 series will be like. My son is interested in watching it too, so we’re going to make a family night out of it.

The 2008 George looks completely different, and from what I’ve seen it appears that there are a couple of new characters too. The new show already looks better than the old one, so I’m really looking forward to this one.
