oc13eb.jpg With not much else going on today, I decided to watch my Ocean’s Thirteen DVD for a bit. The first time I saw the movie, I was so focused on trying to follow the scheme (and, yes, I admit paying close attention to Brad Pitt’s scenes as well!), that there were a lot of nuances I failed to pick up on.

For instance, I thought Ellen Barkin did a fantastic job as Abigail Sponder. Her acting was great, and she was very believable as a “cougar” type who preyed on Linus. I mean, she had the character down pat, from the terrific figure to the stylish clothes and even an expensive Bedat watch… everything was perfect!

I also was able to follow the whole double-cross backstory between Willie Bank and Reuben, which of course was what prompted Danny to seek revenge on Bank in the first place. All of the subsequent events made much more sense this time around.

However, I was still bored with the whole dice factory strike that Virgil instigated, and didn’t really change my mind about the rating I initially gave the film (6.5 stars out of 10).
