I love everything about the Super Bowl, from the parties and food to watching a great game and seeing the NFL champion emerge from the fracas. But my favorite part of all has to be seeing some of the great commercials that air during the game. Ordinarily, I use commercial breaks during football games to grab more grub, check my email, or surf the Internet, but I am positively glued to the TV set during the entire Super Bowl.
This year I was able to get a sneak peek at some new Super Bowl ads, and really enjoyed this one for Diet Pepsi Max:
It was so cool to hear that old Enigma Haddaway song What is Love again, and I thought it was used perfectly in the ad. I also enjoyed the cameos by LL Cool J, Troy Aikman, Busta Rymes, Macy Gray, Joe Buck, and Missy. I absolutely cracked up when they started doing the “Night at the Roxbury” head-bob routine after taking a sip of their Diet Pepsi Max! That was hilarious!!
Of course, now I have What is Love stuck in my head, and totally want to get that ringtone for my cell phone. I’ve been hearing a lot about a website called PlayPhone.com, so I decided to check it out. PlayPhone has the ringtone I’m looking for, plus a lot of other extras that I can add to my phone, such as wallpapers, video tones, games, text message trivia, and even widgets.
It costs just $9.99 for 10 download credits at PlayPhone.com, and there’s a bonus of 10 additional download credits for signing up now, so that sounds like a pretty good deal.
Anyway, I’m off to browse through some more ringtones before the Super Bowl starts!
