You’ve probably heard by now that actor Roy Scheider, perhaps best known for his role as police chief Martin Brody in Jaws, passed away yesterday at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences Hospital in Little Rock.
I don’t know too many details about Scheider’s death, but apparently he had been receiving treatment for myeloma for several years. He was 75.
Jaws is one of my husband’s favorite movies of all time, and he especially liked Scheider as Brody. Needless to say, he’s pretty bummed about this news.
I know that Scheider recently completed a couple of new films, so we’ll be sure to look for them when they’re finally released.
