I’ve been watching a lot of MTV recently, and I can’t help but notice how many of today’s top musicians are affiliated with big-name athletic apparel companies. For example, there’s Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, who always seems to have some kind of DC clothing on, be it shoes, a cap, or a hoody.
Rappers are into this scene pretty heavily as well, and some of them even have their own shoe lines from companies like Nike and Reebok. Eminem and 50 Cent are two prime examples, with Eminem teaming up with Nike for his own sneaker line, while 50 Cent endorses Reebok through his G-Unit signature shoe.
I guess fans will have to start saving up those Dick’s Sporting Goods coupons if they want to dress like their favorite musicians!
Jodie Foster used to be one of my favorite actresses. I loved her in Taxi Driver and The Silence of the Lambs (of course), and even liked Stealing Home, Little Man Tate, and Freaky Friday. But starting with 1999′s Anna and the King, I’ve found her films to be less and less palatable, and I don’t rush out to the theater to see them anymore. That’s why I waited until her latest project, The Brave One, came out on DVD before bothering with it. It turns out that I was right not to rush it.
