Lost Logo Another brand-new episode of Lost aired on Thursday night. I’ve been so busy with various projects that I didn’t get a chance to watch it until this morning. Then it turned out the ep was so boring that it took me two hours to get through it since I kept hitting Pause to get up and do other things.

The episode was called “The Other Woman” and was Juliet-centric. Sorry, but that character simply doesn’t interest me, and her entire backstory bores me to tears. I think this was the second time she’s been featured; hopefully it will be the last.

This time we see a bit more about what happened to Juliet after she first arrived on the island. Ben had a creepy crush on her from the get go, but Juliet fell for Goodwin. Too bad he was already married. I guess that makes Juliet the “other woman” of the title, but I can’t say for sure since I wasn’t paying that much attention.

Anyway, I’m not sure what the point of the flashbacks were. They didn’t reveal any new or interesting information about Juliet except for the affair, but was that really worthy of an entire episode? I didn’t think so.

We also saw: Daniel and Charlotte save one of the power plants on the island; Jack and Juliet kiss (ewww); John make a deal with Ben to find out who the informant on the boat is; and Hurley and Sawyer tossing horseshoes.

Random thoughts:

– Wait, “Goodwin” is a first name? The hell???

– How is it that Goodwin’s wife is suddenly on the island again? Where the hell did she come from, and more importantly, where the hell did she disappear to so quickly? Jack had a freakin’ gun trained on her FFS… how did she just vanish like that?

– For a supposedly deserted and remote place, the island gets a lot of visitors.

– The videotape confirms that Widmore is more deeply involved than he ever let on. I wonder if the whole attraction of the island is really as simple as Ben told John: people would just flock there because of some of the “miracles”, such as Locke walking after being in a wheelchair. (I guess Widmore would want to cover up all the non-miracles involving fetuses conceived on the island).

Well, that’s all I’ve got for this ep. As I said, not much happened and it was totally boring, so it didn’t elicit much of a response from me.
