The CSI Season 9 premiere is tonight, and with the title “For Warrick”, will presumably deal with the discovery of and fallout from Warrick’s murder, which occurred at the end of Season 8.
I used to be a huge CSI fan, and this used to be a show that I really looked forward to watching, but I’ve pretty much given up on it by now. Season 8 was just terrible, and none of the characters are remotely compelling anymore.
Plus, it has always bothered me that all of the crimes featured on CSI are committed by locals who are easy to track down and question. You’d think that in a place like las vegas nevada, the CSI crew would come across a lot of incidents that point to out-of-town doers, right? Just once it would be cool to see the investigators run into problems because the perp is from Brazil or Bulgaria and they can’t extradite him/her for questioning!
Anyway, I’m not planning on watching CSI, though I’m still going to TiVo the eps. If I hear that they’re good, I’ll catch up on weekends or whatever. I’d like to tune in for Laurence Fishburne’s arrival just to see what his character is all about, but other than that, nothing really excites me about this show anymore.
Bones 4×07 — “The He in the She”: I didn’t like the mystery of the week at all, as there wasn’t a heck of a lot of time spent on character development as far as the victim and his/her surviving family members went.
Private Practice 2×02 — “Equal and Opposite”: Ok, so this episode wasn’t as good as the premiere, but I still thought it was decent. The incestuous couple was — well, there are no words now, are there? I have to say that I KNEW they were going the brother/sister route as soon as I saw the couple. They actually looked a lot alike, so kudos to the casting director for making this storyline seem plausible.
Entourage 5×05 — “Tree Trippers”: What a lame episode! I tune in to Entourage to see these guys living a Hollywood lifestyle. I want to get an inside look at the industry, at exclusive nightclubs, upscale restaurants, lavish digs, expensive cars, run-ins with real-life celebs, etc. I don’t tune in to see the crew trip on shrooms in the desert for the entire 30 minutes. WTF??
