A couple weeks ago, I wrote about how I would love to own the Seinfeld Complete Series DVD box set. Well, just as Seinfeld was my favorite comedy of all time, I’d have to list The West Wing as my favorite drama of all time. Writer/producer Aaron Sorkin created some of the most memorable television characters ever, and the series was full of intense drama, intelligent writing, and sharp humor. I miss seeing all the behind-the-scenes happenings in the fictional Bartlett White House, which is why I would love to own the show on DVD.
As I was checking through Buy.com this morning, I saw that The West Wing — Complete Series DVD Box Set is available at a great price. The set contains all 154 episodes from the show’s award-winning seven-year run on 45 discs. In addition, there are plenty of extra features, including extensive commentary from the cast and crew, interviews, a gag reel, and more.
I already own the first two seasons of The West Wing on DVD, but these were very cheap double-sided discs that are a pain to deal with. I would much rather have the Complete Series box set, which, according to the customer reviews I’ve read, is actually very nice and well worth the price.
Speaking of prices, I was happy to see that The West Wing — Complete Series Collection is on sale for $177.13 at Buy.com, which is almost 50% off the list price of $299.98. That’s a very good deal for a collection of this size, so I am definitely going to buy it soon. I can’t wait to start “shipping” Josh and Donna all over again, or to see the idealistic Sam Seaborn, practical Toby Ziegler, and the rest of my favorite characters once more!
