entourage-title-card Entourage 6×02 — “Amongst Friends”: — Isn’t this show supposed to be a comedy? I can’t recall laughing a single time during last night’s episode. I’d like to give the writers the benefit of the doubt and believe that they’ll turn this into a good season, but they only have 12 episodes to work with… why waste two entire eps on absolutely nothing??

– Please, please don’t tell me that Eric’s love life is going to be a major focal point of the season. The character and the actor just annoy me to no end! I know he’s really supposed to be the main guy here (Kevin Connolly’s name comes first in the credits, after all), but god, he’s so boring!

– Also, what’s the deal with focusing so much on the Gary Cole character Andrew? I liked Cole when he played clueless VP Bob Russell on The West Wing, but I don’t get the point of having him be a regular on Entourage. He’s not funny, he doesn’t wield any power, and he doesn’t add anything to the show. He’s just there as Ari’s charity case, which makes no sense. And now we learn he’s banging a 26-year-old wannabe agent? Again, what’s the point here?

– Thus far in Season 6, I’d have to say that Turtle and Meadow Soprano are by far the most interesting thing happening on Entourage. You tell me what that means for the show!
