With Christmas coming up in about two weeks, I find myself browsing online stores nearly every day looking for last-minute gift ideas. Usually, however, I just end up finding stuff that I want for myself, not for anyone else on my list! Like this morning I was checking out the sale pages at Buy. com and saw a total blast from my past. It was a Beverly Hills, 90210 DVD collection that I really want to get!!
I know, I know. You’re probably questioning my tastes in TV shows right about now, but give me a break! When the show started, I was in the exact same age that the characters were supposed to be, so it was impossible not to get swept up into all the melodrama. I ended up watching most of the episodes from the show’s 10-year run, but it aired during pre-TiVo days and I know I missed quite a few along the way.
Anyway, I was just reminiscing with a friend about how we used to watch 90210 together, which is probably why seeing the DVDs resonated with me. This Beverly Hills, 90210 Eight-Season Bundle costs $243.99 right now. That’s a bit expensive for my tastes, so I might not order it immediately. Maybe there will be a post-Christmas sale that will knock the price a bit lower and into my budget range. If the collection gets down under $220, I’ll probably pull the trigger on the order. And then I’ll invite Jess over for 90210 marathons just like in the good old days!
