castle logo Castle 2×011 — “The Fifth Bullet”: I actually enjoyed this episode more for the case than for the character interactions, which was quite a change. The mystery of the fifth bullet was interesting, and then the character with amnesia was well done. I liked how they brought an expert in to point out the different types of memory and which type had been affected by the trauma. I also thought it was cool how Castle got the guy to sign his name even though he couldn’t remember his name.

At the end, I had a feeling that it would have been better to have the guy turn out to be the killer after all. That would be weird, as Castle said, because usually when you kill someone, at least you have the satisfaction of knowing that you got your revenge or whatever. But for someone with amnesia, you’d just be left there wondering what the hell the uproar was all about.

Ok, this marks a couple eps in a row with very little Beckett/Castle flirting. What’s up with that? I need more!

Bones 5×10 — “The Goop on the Girl”: The case this week was pretty boring. I thought it was totally obvious that the Santa at the beginning was a patsy… why did it take the team 40 minutes to figure it out?? The Christmas stuff seemed a little forced, and didn’t radiate the kind of warmth I was hoping for. The gathering at the end seemed awkward rather than cozy, which was too bad. I was hoping for a great Booth and Brennan moment there, but it never came. And I thought Zooey Deschanel’s character was just too weird. Quoting Ben Franklin and making twitchy faces at everything Bones said? She was trying way too hard to be “quirky”.

One thing I did love about this ep was Bones removing Booth’s clothes at the very beginning. Wow, that scene was all kinds of hot! It was played perfectly by ED and DB, too. She was her clinical, detached, scientific self, while he was clearly getting turned on by what was happening — so much so that he had to start reciting biblical verses or whatever! More of this kind of interaction, please!!!

criminal minds logo Criminal Minds 5×10 — “The Slave of Duty”: This was kind of a so-so ep for me. I didn’t really care about the case much because it seems like the show has done quite a few of these domestic fantasy killers before. It felt like a rehash of previous stuff, so it didn’t hold my attention at all.

The funeral at the beginning was ok, but do you mean to tell me that Haley had SO FEW people in her life that the likes of Kevin (Garcia’s boyfriend) and Will (JJ’s husband) were pallbearers???? These guys are barely even on the show, FFS. Wouldn’t it have been better to have nondescript men carrying the casket so viewers could just assume they were brothers, uncles, friends, etc.?

Was there any question that Hotch would return to the BAU? Seriously, he’s my favorite character of the bunch. If Thomas Gibson ever left the show, I doubt I would watch it anymore.
