Well, the 2010 Emmy nominations are in, and I’m happy with them for the most part. I absolutely love that Modern Family garnered so many noms, especially in the acting categories. Five out of the 5 adult actors on the show received nods, but Ed O’Neill was absolutely robbed. He deserves recognition as well. I was also glad to see Sharon Gless get a nomination for her work on Burn Notice, as I think she’s great in that. And of course Jane Lynch needs to win for her performance as Sue Sylvester on Glee. She is the only reason to watch that show.
Speaking of Glee, how in the hell did Matthew Morrison get nominated for Best Actor??? That guy is the WORST actor I’ve seen in a long time! He makes me want to put my fist through my television every time he comes on. He is the weakest link on that show, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see him peddling a miracle treatment for wrinkles or some amazing chamois cloth on late-night infomercials in a couple of years. The dude is creepy and annoying, and his attempts at rapping or even singing are cringe-worthy. How he landed that role is beyond me.
Anyway, Glee rant over now. I’ll be tuning in to the show this year because so many of my favorites were nominated. Hope to see something other than Mad Men and Breaking Bad take home major awards this time!
