I was wasting time on YouTube last night and started watching some ’90s music videos. I came across the official Extreme channel, which really brought back a flood of memories since I used to love those guys. I can’t believe I’m admitting this, but More Than Words and Hole Hearted were two of my favorite songs ever!
I even used to have pictures of Nuno Bettencourt and his Washburn Bass or Washburn guitar or whatever plastered all over my room. I dreamed of learning to play the guitar just so I could play Extreme songs all day long, and even went so far as to pay for a few lessons. But I wasn’t any good, so I nipped that “dream” in the bud.
Even so, whenever I see anyone playing a Washburn guitar or when I come across an ad in a magazine, I start thinking of my high school years and all the great memories these Extreme songs evoke!
