Modern Family 3×23 — “Tableau Vivant”: I thought this was a pretty strong episode. It was fun to see Mitchell and Cam interacting with other family members for a change, and I loved that Claire called him out on his parenting. Yeah, everyone has their own style, but show some respect when you’re in someone else’s house! And even though I knew there was no way a primetime network comedy would go there, I was hiding my eyes when Cam had his hand stuck in the garbage disposal!
I liked Alex’s storyline, too. Her effort in art class wasn’t so much about the grade as it was about getting the teacher to notice her. I think most of us have been there before (I know I have), so that was easy to relate to.
The best part had to be how they all showed up at the diner at the end, despite being mad at each other in some form or other. That’s what families do, right?
