Breaking Bad 5×02: “Madrigal”: I didn’t care much for this episode because there just wasn’t enough real Jesse/Walt interaction. I like Mike just fine, but prefer him in a supporting role rather than as the focus of almost an entire episode. He did have some good scenes, but I don’t think he’s a good enough character to carry the whole show.
The latest triumvirate has some interesting possibilities, especially with all the conflict between Walt and Mike. Poor Jesse is going to be caught in the middle of all their arguments (he already is), which, as a Jesse fan, will be tough for me to take.
I read some Breaking Bad message forums, and simply do not understand all the Hank love. I can’t stand the guy. If he was as good a cop as he thinks he is, wouldn’t he have been onto Walt from the day he walked into the high school storage room to check out the missing equipment? He bothers me, and though I don’t like Walt much either, I’m rooting for Walt to win this battle.
Ugh, Walt touching and kissing Skylar in that last scene made my skin crawl. I couldn’t wait for that to end!
