Burn Notice 6×07 — “Reunion”: I really liked this episode. I was wrong about Burn Notice not being able to get back to the light and fun stuff immediately after Nate’s death. It was a smart move on the writers’ part to split the team as they did so Sam and Jesse could banter with Elsa’s son while Michael and Fi could deal with the more “serious” issues. As I had hoped, the show was 1000x better with a client of the week and a mission to save the day.
I also like the fact that the Rebecca stuff isn’t going to be dragged out unnecessarily. She and Michael had their confrontation, she denied involvement in Nate’s death, and that was that. Of course now the team has to keep looking for the real gunman, which WILL take up the rest of the season, so I guess there’s that angle to consider. Oh, well, can’t win ‘em all.
I didn’t stick around for the previews, but I’m crossing my fingers that next week sees the entire team together again on a one-off case.
